Who Would Win in a Fight #2

Who Would Win in a Fight #2

Agent Coulson

It’s time for another round of Who Would Win in a Fight. This time there are no handicaps, just a pure hand to hand fight. In one corner there’s everyone’s favorite member of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson, which if you doubt his fighting abilities, be sure and check out the short film A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer. In the other corner is the Green Hornet’s sidekick Kato. Once again, there’s no simple poll voting, you’ve got to explain your choice in the comments.

I’ve also got updates for the other games I’ve been running lately. I’ve got another Invasion of the Lambs screenshot game over at the LAMB. And if you haven’t yet, be sure and check out this site’s Facebook page for daily updates on the articles as well as a daily minimalist poster game. Here’s the leader board:

Dylan – 2
Morgan – 1
Dust Raven – 2
Silver Emulsion – 1

  1. Are we talking Bruce Lee Kato or the Kato from the Newer Seth Rogen Green Hornet flick?

  2. Coulson wins. Coulson always wins.

  3. I’ve gotta go with Kato. Most badass sidekick of all time.

  4. I think it’s going to depend on the fight. If we’re talking about a regulated test of skills like MMA or Boxing then Kato clearly takes it. In a street fight though, I’m not too sure. I think Coulson would be the one most willing to fight dirty, and fighting dirty is the only way to assure victory.

  5. Sounds pretty even so far, though I would imagine that we’re talking a no-holds-barred street fight, so with Dusty’s caveats, that gives the edge to Coulson so far. Thanks for commenting everyone so far.

Going with Kato. Pulp kung fu mastery beats random secret agent techniques in a Named Character vs Named Character fight, especially in hot Good Guy-on-Good Guy action. Coulson does get props for sneaky manipulativeness, though.
