Podcasts and Lammy Awards
Recently I had the chance to guest on a fairly new podcast out there called the Film Pasture and it’s run over at the Lamb’s site. Pat from 100 years of Movies and I talk about the recent batch of DC movies, both their live action hits (Dark Knight Trilogy), misses (Green Lantern), and their animated movies. We also discuss what their prospects look like in the future with the upcoming Man of Steel.
Here’s where you can go to check out the description over at the LAMB. Or you can go directly to the Film Pasture on iTunes or Podomatic. I had a great time on there and I think it shows, be sure to check it out, especially since it’s a shorter podcast than most of what’s out there.
On another note, the Lamb is also in the midst of their annual member awards, where members of the Lamb can honor their own to recognize the best sites within the community in a number of different categories. If you are a member, I would appreciate it if you think of me when you cast your nomination votes. While last year I was mixed in with the Horror sites, I’m now in a new category called “genre” blogs, and I think I represent my genre quite nicely. There’s also two of my running features up for an award, my Follow Friday series as well as my Superhero Shorts series. I put a lot of work into seeking out fan filmmakers and giving them their due, and not only are they great interviews to read, they’re also great short films to watch. I appreciate the support for my Follow Friday series as well, but if you’re only going to pick one of my running features to give a shout out to, I’d appreciate it if you give your favor to Superhero Shorts. Good luck to everyone else nominated as well! You can check out all the sites eligible for nominations right here, and if you’re a member of the Lamb, you can make your full nominations right here through Survey Monkey. Until next time, this has been Bubbawheat for Flights, Tights, and Movie Nights.

Good luck in the Lammys, Bubbawheat. You’ve got my vote on the genre blogs, for sure.
I appreciate it, I came close last year shoehorned in with the horror sites, I hope this change works in my favor.
I think it will. I was one of the people who suggested that sci-fi and horror shouldn’t be lumped together, so I’m glad to see “genre” as a category in and of itself.
I’d still like to see all the genres represented separately, but the Lamb probably doesn’t have enough active members to warrant that.
Best of luck in the Lammys! Nice poster too! 😀
Thanks, I appreciate it! And right back atcha!
Already voted, good luck 😀
Is that an “already voted for you” good luck, or an “already voted for other people, good luck sucker!” Or just “already cast my secret ballot, not saying who they went to”? Hehe 😀
Not sure but i am pretty sure I voted for you in a couple of categories 😀
If “Follow Friday” wins a Lammy, do we share it? LOL You better at least thank me during your acceptance speech…. 😉
Ok, thus ends the ball busting portion of our comment. 😀
Good luck Bubba, you’ve got noms and votes coming from me! 😀
Heh, I will, though between my two running features, I’m pulling more for Superhero Shorts. I’m a little slower in my voting, gotta check out all the competition first. Thanks for your support!
Good luck! I think you have quite a good shot at winning the Genre award, not just a nomination. And yes, that means I’ll be casting at least one vote your way! 🙂
Thanks, I appreciate it, and right back at you as well.
