Nominated for a Lammy!

If you’re a film blogger, you should know about the Lamb already. If you don’t, it’s the Large Association of Movie Blogs with over 1,500 member blogs and growing. They’re currently running their yearly awards for movie sites like this one and I’ve made it to the finals in the category of Best Genre Blog.

1 Nomination

First off, I’d like to say thank you to all of my readers for their support, I couldn’t have made it this far in the process without you guys. When I started this site, it was partly because I hadn’t had a website in a while, and I wanted to do something online while taking a break from playing the City of Heroes MMO. I wanted to keep it superhero related so I could hopefully generate some interest in the great community over there, and while I did manage to snag a few followers from that community, I really started growing once I found the Lamb community. There’s tons of great people and sites there, and it’s thanks to them that got me this recognition for being the best genre site around. I’m really honored that so many of you think that highly of me and I hope to continue to do you proud.

As for why you should vote for me as opposed to one of the other genre nominees to be the one and final winner? Assuming of course you’re already a member of the Lamb, it’s because I have one of the clearest genre focuses, and not only that, but I cover every corner of that genre that I can find, from documentaries to horror movies based on horror comics, to short films made by fans. While I don’t really have a set schedule anymore, I do my best to bring out content on a frequent basis ranging from reviews to interviews to discussion topics.

And finally, I’d like to take a moment to announce a new project I’m working on and hope to have available in the near future. I’m working on a podcast! Again! Only this time, it’s my own project from start to finish. It’s called Film WHYS, aka the Why Haven’t You Seen this Film podcast and every episode I’ll have a new guest who will introduce me to a classic or modern classic that I’ve never seen before, and there are many. And in return, I will treat them to a superhero movie that they’ve never seen before and we’ll discuss what we thought of each other’s films. If you’re interested in being a guest, let me know, though it may be a while in the future as I’m not sure how often I’ll be cranking these out and I’ve already got a couple shows lined up. But I’m excited about it and hope it turns out well for everyone involved. Until next time, this has been Bubbawheat for Flights, Tights, and Movie Nights.
