Superhero TV Site Project
As most of you reading this may know, I’m a big fan of superheroes and movies which was one reason why I created this site. It’s been a lot of fun and it’s not going anywhere. But I also have a love of television and while this year has really grown from zero to one prime time superhero and comic book television shows to 6: Walking Dead, Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Flash, Arrow, and Constantine, with Daredevil, Supergirl, Teen Titans, the other Netflix shows, and more in development. It’s a crazy time to be a fan of superheroes on TV. And of course, there’s still plenty of kid-friendly animated shows from both DC and Marvel including an upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon. So what I would like to do is to create a spin-off site that covers all of these television shows as well as retro looks at past TV shows. But there is just too much out there and if I tried to do this alone, both sites would suffer. So I need your help! Check out below to see what I’m looking for and how you can help.

The Chair Interview at my 2nd Home, Talking Horror
I wanted to take a quick moment to shout out my second home on the internet. While I love watching and writing about superhero and comic book movies and TV shows here, it’s nice to stretch my legs a little bit and delve into other genres. So when Tyson Carter put a call for help to make a new horror site, I thought it was high time I spread my wings a little bit. Over there, I will mainly be writing articles on horror Kickstarter projects and the like, seeing what’s interesting, what’s worth your money, and what might not have a bat’s chance in hell of getting funded. And once in a while I might toss out a horror movie review or two as well. So make sure you follow the new site Talking Horror. But not only that, I also have my first article over there that I’d like to share. I got the chance to talk to a recently successful Kickstarter project for a horror movie based on a graphic novel called the Chair. So check out my interview with Peter Simeti and leave a comment, why don’t you! Until next time, this has been Bubbawheat for Flights, Tights, and Movie Nights.
Remember, Remember, the Fifth of November
It feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve written a general blog post that wasn’t a review or a list. Most people who know comics or comic book movies, or are in the UK know that the 5th of November is Guy Fawkes Day. Here in the US, it’s not that important of a day outside of the fact that it is very prominent in the movie V for Vendetta. And it seems like more than any other movie, this is one that tends to get reviewed most often on or around the fifth of November. And, unsurprisingly I had also intended to watch and review this movie around this time for the past two years of writing on this site, and yet I have been unable to remember the fifth of November until this very year. Although I won’t be able to post my review tonight, I will be watching the film tonight.

Saturday Morning Memories
I realized that it feels like it’s been a while since I wrote a more casual blog post here, it’s been all movie reviews, podcasts, and lists. Since it is Saturday morning right now, I thought it would be nostalgic for me to go through some of my Saturday Morning superhero memories of some of the cartoons that I liked to watch when I was younger. And while I am calling this Saturday Morning Memories, I certainly don’t remember the difference between which cartoons actually came on during Saturday morning and which came on during the after school block. I grew up in the 80’s, but I did continue to have a love of cartoons through my teenage years so I will be covering some of those 90’s cartoons as well.

Chicago Lamb Meet-up Aftermath
Since I haven’t posted much content lately (I’m working on it, just been very busy with non-blog stuff, and still watching the Flash TV series with just 2 episodes left) I thought I’d write up a quick post about the Chicago Lamb Meet-Up that happened last weekend. I’m not a hugely social person, but since I had already talked to almost everyone that showed up on either their podcast, mine, or both, it felt a lot more like meeting a group of friends instead of a bunch of people I had never met before. I considered doing a podcast for Filmwhys, but didn’t really have any ideas or the equipment to make it happen. But I did appear on the two other podcasts that recorded on Sunday in Alcohollywood Studios. So make sure you check out The Lambcast where we mostly played a somewhat movie-related round of Cards Against Humanity along with a bit of a discussion afterwards. I also appeared on The Lair of the Unwanted where we also mostly just played a big Game of the Unwanted though I didn’t make as much of an appearance on that episode. And if you want to see what I actually look like, I appeared on a video over at Film Yarn where I talked about my top 5 of the year so far, which unsurprisingly feature four films that I reviewed on this site and the fifth was also featured. I also wanted to thank everyone from French Toast Sunday, Clint from Alcohollywood, Chris from After Credits, Dylan from Man, I Love Films (kinda), Vern from Vern’s Video Vortex, Nick from Your Face!, Lackey from The Nightmare Gallery, and a couple I missed on Saturday, Dan from Public Transportation Snob, and Steve from 1001 Plus. Next week should have some more posts again including an animated Batman movie I should have watched a while ago, a classic superhero movie, my thoughts on the Flash series, and finally the final 100 Essential Superhero Movie list. Until next time, this has been Bubbawheat for Flights, Tights, and Movie Nights.
