Follow Friday: The IPC

Welcome to another edition of Follow Friday, where each time I feature and interview a fellow blogger and follow their suggestion to another blog to feature next time. I prefer this over a blogroll because it gives each blog their own time to shine, plus I personally rarely click on blogrolls so why would I expect you to? Not only that, but I get the chance to check out some great blogs I might not have found otherwise found, talk to some great people, and share the conversation with you. Of course, if you would rather see something like a blogroll, I have collected all of my previous Follow Friday sites in list form which you can find right at the top of the page. Last time I was directed by Chris from Film Hipster to check out Isaacs Picture Conclusions aka the IPC.

I recently started following the IPC back when I visited Film Hipster because he was promoting Shitfest 2013. As I’ve seen my fair share of crappy superhero movies, I thought it would be a lot of fun to join in and check out what’s going on. Besides that, he also has reviews of his own mixed in, mostly for horror movies but also other movies like Unbreakable. He has a very irreverent sense of humor that is quite likable and makes a lot of his stuff fun to read. But mixed in with the jokes is some actual film criticism and even some interviews of his own with fellow bloggers. But enough from me, let’s hear from the IPC himself.

Bubbawheat: Chris already told me about how the Blogger’s Cut was started, so let me ask you what is your favorite segment that you do over on The Blogger’s Cut?

Isaac: Easily THREE’S CUMPANY. I know it’s dirty and NSFW but it’s SO MUCH FUN. Hopefully some day someone like George Takei will see it and it will get some viral action. SPLURT!

BW: You just recently finished your Shitfest and it seemed to be a huge success. What was your favorite post during that event, and was it the first one you’ve done?

IPC: It was the first one and it was a huge success!! I think everyone had a brilliant, fun time and we’re gearing up to do another one this fall, after summer breaks. I hope you contribute!!

BW: I certainly will be, just a matter of deciding which movie to choose. If someone were to only read one post on your site, what would it be?

IPC: Easily it would be any of these, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK. That was written with my friend who I’ve been through a lot with and – honestly – he’s a writer but never has time to write so it’s kind of special to me. Good fun, too!

BW: Which would you rather watch: a movie you know was going to be horrible and was 2 hours long, or a movie that might be awesome and was 4 hours long?

IPC: Probably the 2 hour option – it’s really hard for me to sit still or not fiddle with something..

BW: What is your favorite superhero movie?

IPC: Easy: KICK ASS! I can’t even wait for the sequel…

BW: Me either, it’s my second most anticipated movie of the summer after Man of Steel which I’ll be seeing tomorrow. And finally, what site do you suggest that I follow the next time I get around to another Follow Friday?

IPC: Definitely the boys over at HARD TICKET TO HOME VIDEO. It’s one of my favorite sites on the www!
