It’s Time to Rewind: Season 1 week 4

Groundhog Day After Day After Day week 4

It’s already time for another weekly wrap-up of the next 3 episodes of my time loop podcast covering the 1993 film Groundhog Day one loop at a time. This is a week full of a single guest as we go through the rise and fall of Phil’s “first” date with Rita as it gets to be almost perfect before starting to crash and burn over a snowball fight with some local kids. Also, I’d love it if you joined the Facebook group It’s Time to Rewind: A Timeloop Group where you can discuss episodes, and I will occasionally post sneak previews and tidbits of information as I find them.

Episode 9 of It’s Time to Rewind: Groundhog Day After Day After Day where I’m joined once again by Sean from Next Scene Podcast to discuss Phil’s eighth Groundhog Day that starts at47 minutes and 27 seconds with Phil ordering sweet vermouth, rocks with a twist which just so happens to be Rita’s favorite drink and ends at 49 minutes and 27 seconds with Phil laughing at Rita’s study of 19th century French poetry.

Episode 10 of It’s Time to Rewind: Groundhog Day After Day After Day where I’m joined by guest Sean from Next Scene Podcast to discuss Phil’s tenth Groundhog Day that starts at 49 minutes and 27 seconds with Phil fantasizing about living in the mountains in five years and ends at 55 minutes and 35 seconds with Phil getting slapped after telling Rita he loves her but doesn’t even like himself. We also discuss Phil’s nearly perfect date despite his very predatory actions and how they remind me of Baby It’s Cold Outside.

Episode 11 of It’s Time to Rewind: Groundhog Day After Day After Day where I’m joined for the last time by guest Sean from Next Scene Podcast to discuss Phil’s eleventh Groundhog Day that starts at 55 minutes and 35 seconds with Phil rushing through the previously romantic building of a snowman and ends at 56 minutes and 27 seconds with Phil getting slapped. We also discuss Phil’s inability to recreate a spontaneous event and somehow I relate that to Battletoads.
