Here’s a bit of a photo gallery full of photos I took from C2E2 2015 here in Chicago of all of the cosplayers and some of the panels I went to. Enjoy!
Pokemon trainer complete with walking pokemon. Not a big enough fan or I might actually know which one it is.
Doom, A Ghostbuster, and someone who I hopefully won’t lose my geek cred for not knowing.
Lady Deadpool, complete with caption bubble.
Spaceballs combing the con floor.
Harley and Catwoman
Saw quite a few Guardians out at the con this weekend.
The first of two Hellboys, this one is all demon-ed out.
Big Hero 6!
Always great to see older cosplayers, very nice couple and I do think Maleficent would be Deadpool’s style.
I just had to get a pic of Ness, I loved Earthbound.
A live art demonstration.
Got some Marvel action with a Captain America who does bear a vague similarity to Chris Evans, if you squint real hard.
And here’s our lovable BPRD Hellboy.
This one I do know, rather big, if a little crude Charizard.
My camera isn’t too great at long distance shots, but here’s Jason Momoa on the big screen on the main stage.
Tank Girl, not quite as energetic as Lori Petty.
Caught Jason Mewes after his Twitch session at the live stage on the show floor.
Off the bus with the first cosplay of the Jared Leto Joker pic, even if it may not be the actual Suicide Squad Joker.
Gotta show some love for the classic Muppets, great Sweetums!
More muppets from the day before. Mahna Mahna!
Even more Muppets, meep meep!
Stan the Man Lee at his panel on Sunday.
Jay Mewes and Ming Chen on the Twitch stage.
Great looking Frankenberry cosplay. Huge with working lights.
And now for a bunch of Star Wars cosplayers.
Really amazing Chewie, had to be seven feet tall & complete with movie voicebox.
Darth Maul, played the part quite well too, very silent and menacing.
I feel like I should have recognized this guy, but I couldn’t quite place him.
Someone look out for a giant Thanos who fits this Infinity Gauntlet!
These were some fine looking wings on Hawkman.
Just had to get a picture of the Skeksis!
No idea, in fairness she couldn’t come up with a superhero movie either
Hayley Atwell rushing the stage full of Agent Carters.
The KOSART booth with Anthony from Face/Off doing a live make up.
Wrapping this long post up with a general crowd shot from Saturday I believe.
My friends just invited me last night to go with them to the Comicon in Dallas end of May and I think I’m going to go!
Very nice! I hope you enjoy!
I realize this is what they’re hoping for, but I always find it completely strange to take pictures of strangers.
Another way to look at it is a form of art, they’re creating this art, this costume, and they go to the convention as a type of gallery that showcases this cosplay as an art form. It’s not so much that I’m taking pictures of people, but I’m taking pictures of the costume art that they’ve created and just happen to be displaying it on their own bodies.
great pics! hellboy and chewie were my favorites! thanks for sharing, Bubbawheat.
