It’s Time to Rewind: Week 12 & Finale

Groundhog Day After Day After Day: Week 12 & Finale

I’ve spent 12 weeks breaking down Groundhog Day loop by loop for 38 episodes, plus a couple weeks of pre-production before I even started releasing episodes. And now we’re finished. Done. Finito. I’m already well into working on season 2 as well as a few bonus episodes in the meantime. I hope you’ve enjoyed this journey and will continue on into the Twilight Zone and beyond!

It’s Time to Rewind: Week 11

Groundhog Day After Day After Day Week 11

Another week, another batch of podcast episodes going through Groundhog Day loop by loop. This week we get to look at an ice sculpture, another piano lesson, an awkward hug, and the death of an unnamed homeless man. Thanks to everyone who’s been listening, the podcast as a whole has reached the 500 downloads mark. May be a small number to some, but I’m happy that at least one person out there is listening and enjoying what I’m putting out there. As a reminder, if you’re a Patron on Patreon at the $3 a month level or more, you can already listen to the rest of the season right now! There’s only 4 episodes to go in this first season, so get listening!

It’s Time to Rewind: Weeks 8 – 10

Groundhog Day After Day After Day weeks 8 -10

It’s been a little bit since I’ve done one of these recaps for the podcast. I haven’t announced it here on the site yet but a little over 2 weeks ago, my 2nd daughter was born. On August 27th, little Faye was born 3 weeks early and I’ve had the past two weeks spent taking care of her and her mother, getting a couple movies in during baby naps. Both are doing very well at the moment and things are looking good for us. As for the podcast, we’re already nearing the home stretch and we’ve got a lot of episodes and a lot of guests here from the past three weeks. And after this, there are only a little over two weeks left of this first season. It’s been fun but a second season will be coming out before too long so stay tuned!

It’s Time to Rewind: Season 1 week 6

Groundhog Day After Day After Day Week 6

We are already in the sixth week of this new podcast and more or less halfway through the first season! This week has been a lot of fun as I really stretch this format to its absolute limit as I spend a second week discussing a slap montage where every episode except for the final one was less than a second of film. Thanks again so much to Jason Soto for being a good sport and having a blast with me discussing and rating slaps and groundhog ice sculptures. Things in the movie take a definite turn starting next week, so enjoy this week while you can.

It’s Time to Rewind: Season 1 week 5

Groundhog Day After Day After Day week 5

Time is just flying by, unlike the time within Groundhog Day which goes extraordinarily slow as Phil is still getting slapped over and over again on a repeated February 2nd. I also wanted to mention that now that I am more active again here on the site, I have re-adjusted our Patreon page where you can directly support this site and gain access to early episodes of this podcast, early access to occasional non-review posts, and you can help choose what movies I review on this site and what movies and TV series I cover in future seasons of It’s Time to Rewind. And if we make our monthly goal of $25 a month, I will do a monthly bonus podcast of either a bonus Filmwhys episode, or a bonus It’s Time to Rewind which will be Patreon exclusive for a full month before releasing to everyone else. As for this week’s It’s Time to Rewind episodes, we’ve got a full week of Phil being slapped. The entire week barely covers 3 seconds worth of screen time, but I assure you that it’s a fun time.

It’s Time to Rewind: Season 1 week 3

Groundhog Day After Day After Day week 3

We made it through another week of shows. In the three episodes this week, we’ve got one returning guest and one new guest as we dive into days 6 through 8 of Groundhog Day. And if you haven’t yet, be sure to come on over and join the Facebook Group It’s Time to Rewind: A Time Loop Group and discuss the episodes as they come out, share memes, and discuss new and old time loop movies or TV shows. But for now, let’s get to this week’s episodes.

It’s Time to Rewind: Season 1 week 2

Groundhog Day After Day After Day week 2

It’s been a fun second week of my new podcast It’s Time to Rewind and I hope you give it a listen. We’ve got three new episodes for you and two new guests as we get into some of the shorter loops of Groundhog Day so it made sense to bring back a guest to talk about a few related days in a row. Also, if you haven’t checked out the Facebook Group It’s Time to Rewind: A Time Loop Group I’d love it if you joined to discuss the podcast, share time loop memes, or discuss new or past time loop movies, episodes, or novels and short stories. But let’s get into this week’s episodes, shall we?

It’s Time to Rewind Season 1

Groundhog Day After Day After Day 0

My latest podcast has launched! New episodes will come out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I’ll be sharing each episode in the first week of episodes here, and afterwards I’ll have a weekly wrap-up, so if you think you’ll enjoy the show, and I hope you will, go ahead and subscribe on whatever platform you use. So for today’s episode we have Season 1 Episode 0 of It’s Time to Rewind: Groundhog Day After Day After Day. Host Bubbawheat and guest Todd Liebenow from Forgotten Films, The Forgotten Filmcast, and the Walt Sent Me Podcast discuss February 1st in the 1993 Bill Murray movie Groundhog Day. It starts at minute zero with the Columbia logo and ends at 7 minutes and 26 seconds with Rita and Larry discussing how Phil had just called himself “the talent”.
